Anger and Aggression Management
It is a known fact that the confusion of angry feelings with
aggressive behaviour creates a tremendous barrier to the expression
of the natural, healthy, universal and useful human emotion that we
call anger. Individuals who have controlled their anger do not
openly express their feelings, but this in itself is destructive
behaviour because suppressed, undealt with anger is unhealthy and
can lead to a wide range of physical and psychiatric disorders. Autogenic training can be defined as a technique of medical therapy designed to exert a normalising influence upon mental and bodily functions.
By the late 1920s, Schulz had evolved the six standard
psycho-physiological exercises of autogenic training which he called
the autogenic standard series. These exercises involve a series of
verbal formulae upon which subjects passively concentrate, while
lying with their eyes closed in a quiet room. Each exercise is
practised several times under the supervision of a trained
therapist, until the subject is able to shift voluntarily from a
high arousal state to a wakeful low arousal state.
Andrew Salter who founded modern behavioural therapy used
conceptions of excitation and inhibition as the basis for treatment
of the neurotic. When excitatory forces dominate, people are
action-orientated and emotionally free. They meet life on their own
terms. The neurotic, on the other hand, always suffers from an
excess of inhibition. Through this course the student will learn how
Behavioural Therapy employs mental and physical exercise to build
and strengthen the excitatory processes, creating a new balance
where they can dominate the brain functioning and overcome
problematic behaviour.

parent who is seeking to enhance his or her awareness and knowledge
of child development.

amazing insight into the development of children and will help you

behaves.

experience and that of children by understanding children and the
developmental processes they experience.
For those who are living in a Co-dependant relationship it often
means a constant battle for survival against pain and frustration.
Co-dependants are capable of healthy and happy relationships if they
are fortunate enough to be able to avail themselves of the services
of a counsellor or therapist who is aware of the difficulties that
they are experiencing and who has the knowledge and skills necessary
to enable them to successfully address the problem. Compulsive Behavioural Disorders
Persons suffering from compulsive behaviour disorders are usually
subjected to advice and guidance which is somewhat one-sided, often
based on ignorance of the subject in question and knowledge of the
areas of help available. Counselling Children & Adolescents Diploma Course
Counsellors help the client find their own answers and become more
in charge of their own lives rather than less so; to be able to live
their own life rather than be lived by it. Counselling Skills Diploma Course - Advanced
'Counselling can enable a person to clarify their thoughts and
feelings in order that they might arrive at their own decisions and
even comfortably initiate major changes in their lives. Counselling Skills Diploma Course - Basic
Counselling is essentially a lively, human and personal experience
between two people. Therefore, it is a process which requires
commitment of time and effort from both parties. The aim is for the
counsellor to help the client find their own answers and to become
more in charge of their lives rather than less so; to be able to
live their own life rather than be lived by it.
Visualisation therapy can be a powerful and beneficial force. It
teaches techniques to benefit health, to assist other natural
healing processes and to reinforce positive feelings and well-being.
Visualisation is using the conscious mind to imagine positive events
based on the fact that there is a close link between emotions,
images and sensations.
It is one of the most distressing and commonly occurring disorders.
It is easily diagnosed yet, though eminently treatable many
sufferers never receive any adequate therapy whatsoever; it is

common signs of depression and an explanation as to why so many
individuals are prone to feeling depressed.

eating disorders are on the increase, not just for adolescent girls,
but for men, women and children of all ages. Despite the increase,
the disorder is usually misunderstood and treatment is both
inappropriate and ineffective.
The educational system provides a wide range of opportunities for
psychologists. Because the beginnings of serious emotional problems
often appear in the early years, many elementary schools employ
psychologists whose training combines courses in child development,
education and clinical psychology to work with individual children
to evaluate learning and emotional problems. In consultation with
parents and teachers they plan ways of helping the child both in the
classroom and the home. This course offers an insight to this field.
The course work covered offers the student immediate access to the
general theory and practical skills that lie at the heart of
Education in Psychology.
Fritz Perls initiated the development of Gestalt psychotherapy which
lays great emphasis on the client's achievement of a sense of the
present, an ability to accept the value of 'here and now' feelings
and experience life without castrating it by immediate historical
reference and justification. It aims to enable people to use the
capacity of the human imagination to explore both experience and the
possibilities of a particular person's world. As students of this
course will discover, like most therapies it has been as prolific in
devising techniques as it has in proposing a general approach. Grief & Bereavement Counselling
Grief is a measure of our love and independence and is the price
we have to pay for loving. Individual and Interpersonal Behaviour Most of the research into human motivation has been carried out in respect of work. Some of these ideas and research results are complex, with Researchers attempting to identify the factors that motivate, or prevent motivation in people.

For those who are already in management positions, this course will improve your ability to deal with individuals and groups.

More and more people are turning to professional counsellors to help
them with the ever-escalating problems of modern society.
Psychology is the science of mind and behaviour. No matter who we
are or what we do and insight into this field of study will assist
you in a better understanding of life and a persons mindset.
Students enrol for courses in psychology for a number of reasons,
but few are motivated by a desire to know what psychologists do.
They want to know what is relevant to their lives, to their futures
and how to cope with problems they themselves face and those they
must confront within society. Psychology touches almost every part
of our lives and in its various forms addresses the entire person;
present and past history, needs and wants, joys and complaints, and
in doing so presents us with the opportunity to bring the mind, the
body and the spirit into alignment enabling all aspects of
personality to function in harmony.
Journalling is considered an effective lifelong tool in self-therapy
and self-guidance for those who feel that they have the necessary
resources within to act as their own counsellor. Life Skills Coaching Diploma Course

maintain control over our lives, We need to organize, prioritise,
achieve targets, communicate effectively, handle change - and we
need to be assertive, confident and happy.
Recent breakthroughs and developments in the field of Meridian
therapies have provided practitioners the world over with a new
collection of groundbreaking techniques for providing quick and
permanent relief from negative emotional states. Due to their
staggering success rate psychotherapists and hypnotherapists in
large numbers are keen to investigate these methods and incorporate
them into their practice. A person cannot drink the word 'water' nor can the word 'rain' make you wet. You must experience water or rain to truly know what the words mean. Words themselves keep you several steps removed from the experience. You experience in you own life essentially what you believe. If, for example, you believe strongly in scarcity, think about it regularly, and make it the focus of your conversations, it is certain that you will see a great deal of it in your life. On the other hand, if you believe in happiness and abundance, think only about them, talk about them with others, and act on your belief in them, it follows that you are seeing what you believe. The principles set down in this course of NLP may require you to sketch new ideas. Should you diligently follow the prescribed path and apply these principles, you will never again return to the being as you were before.
Neuro Psychological Immunology Diploma Course Just as Neuro-Linguistic Programming exemplifies excellence in performance, so the new science of NPI exemplifies excellence in health. Health is positive. It comes naturally as the direct result of how we think and feel. It is a state of being. To try to separate body and mind in health and illness is like trying to separate the salt from the sea water with a knife. Mind and body are constantly influencing each other towards health or illness. NPI teaches that bodies do not get ill - people do.
On this course students will learn balancing techniques for
assisting clients in working at their best all day every day.
Evolved from Cariel's Scream Therapy and Janov's Primal Therapy,
this therapeutic approach enables the client through the act of
ventilating to asset their right to the open expression of feelings
and discover that he or she is constitutionally capable of such
expression. Professional Hypnotherapy Diploma Course

becomes highly receptive to suggestion and change. At any time when
our conscious mind is absorbed the subconscious mind is more open
and vulnerable. Professional Therapeutic Counselling
Counsellors and therapists deal with a broad range of difficulties
including redundancy, marital problems, alcoholism, eating
disorders, self-esteem and bereavement. This integrated course is
based upon the theory that life's difficulties are perceived and
tackled by the individual in relation to a host of social factors
such as family makeup and background, ethnicity, cultural,
educational and economic circumstances. Using such an approach, the
therapist's task is to work with the client within this context as
briefly and economically as possible in order to reframe the
perception of and approach to problem management and resolution.
Have you ever wondered why the happy nine-month-old baby who always
